The collaboration will focus on metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH), a serious form of fatty liver disease, and cardiomyopathies, diseases that affect the heart muscle.

Insitro will use its Virtual Human AI platform to combine large-scale human and cellular data with AI-enabled target identification and drug design to discover new drug candidates. AstraZeneca will be responsible for clinical development and regulatory processes, and will have exclusive worldwide rights to selected programmes.
